Preschool/Pre-K Teachers

At Little Genius Planet our focus is to develop skills and knowledge of the young minds through creating an interest and curiosity. We are seeking for an energetic individual for our Preschool/Pre-K classroom who can take the pride of leading the classroom to achieve center goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s Degree or Two-year degree in Early Childhood Education/CDA or equivalent experience working with children
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and maintain working relationships with staff, children and parents
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task in a classroom setting to achieve center goals
CPR and First Aid certified
Meet State requirements for the position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensure children are supervised at all times
Plan and initiate activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program
Conduct activities that introduce math, literacy and Science concepts
Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling which aligned with the curriculum
Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities
Establish routines and provide positive guidance
Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
Maintains accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students
Keeps attendance records of children throughout the day
Ensure equipment and the facility is clean, well maintained and safe at all times
Provide communication to parents of their child’s progress
Maintain demonstration logs and lessons
Assist in planning other school wide events and curriculum
Conduct parent/teacher conferences throughout the school year to discuss the child’s progress
Attend all weekly staff meetings
Performs all such related and non-related duties as may be assigned from time to time

Should be willing to work flexible hours to meet the need of the center as needed.
